Bajaj Auto starts production of BS IV vehicles

Bajaj Auto says it has achieved BS IV compliance well ahead of the March 31, 2017 deadline.

The Pune-based Bajaj Auto has announced that it has achieved BS IV compliance for all its motorcycle, three-wheeler and quadricycle products being manufactured at all its three plants – in Pantnagar (Uttarakhand), Aurangabad (Maharashtra) and Chakan (Maharashtra).

The company’s total production capacity as of March 2016 was 6,060,000 units per annum. It plans to expand this to 6.24 million units by March 2017.
