Autolite India bags Export Excellence Award from the Engineering Export Promotion Council

The company has diversified into e-vehicle segment and has launched e- rickshaw, and also plans to introduce a e-scooter by end of 2018, which it states is currently under development process in its R&D division.

Autolite India, part of the Autopal MPG Group, which manufactures and exports head lamps, halogen lamps and electric vehicles has been awarded the EEPC Award for Export Excellence for the year 2015-16 by the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), New Delhi. The company states it was presented the award on July 4, 2018.

According to Autolite India, the award is recognition of its consistent excellence in exports performance, and this is the seventh consecutive year where it has received this award.

Adarsh Mahipal Gupta, director, Autolite India, said that the company exports to around 60 countries which accounts for around 25-30 percent of its total production, with major export market being America and Europe. 

Besides exports the company is also a supplier to leading Indian OEM which includes – Tata Motors, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, Maruti Suzuki India, Swaraj Mazda and Mahindra & Mahindra among others. The company also caters to the Indian aftermarket through its widespread dealers and distributors network.

The company has diversified into e-vehicle segment and has launched e- rickshaw, and also plans to introduce a e-scooter by end of 2018, which it states is currently under development process in its R&D division. For expansion, modernisation and diversification the Autopal MPG Group has made investment in Capex of more than Rs 30 crore in last four years and furthermore plans new investment of around Rs 35-40 crore in next two years.
