This 56-page issue gives you a ringside view on the latest developments, the top investment, crucial R&D initiatives and a lot more.

South India Special

A detailed analysis on what makes the South a top favourite. Telangana will continue to pull out all the stops in its quest to emerge as digital hub while Bengaluru remains a magnet for startups. AP has Kia in its kitty as well as the Sri City belt but will have to keep the momentum going. As for TN, it has carved a place for itself but will need to ensure that investments keep coming in.

MD & CEO of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Satyakam Arya, dwells upon the new mobility challenges for BharatBenz. Not only is work underway to make the Chennai plant carbon neutral, Daimler is looking at the light truck space where electric is key and expects a slew of fuel options across CV segments.

ZF is deepening its India footprint as well. The new tech centre in Hyderabad has been designed to improve employee collaboration and could now be the reference point for future ZF centres worldwide.

Switch Mobility recently launched its electric bus platform Switch EiV 12. Available in two variants — EiV 12 low floor and EiV 12 standard – are made at Leyland’s Ennore plant. Mahesh Babu, Director & CEO – Switch Mobility India, COO – Switch Mobility elaborates on the road ahead.

Sales Traction
With estimated sales of over 800,000 units in the first quarter of FY23, the best yet since Q1 FY19, the Indian passenger vehicle industry could surpass the previous best of 3.3 million units in FY19. No prizes for guessing that the unabated boom in SUV demand is driving the firm uptick.

Great Wall Motors
and a few other Chinese brands were keen to establish a base but a backlash due to border skirmishes and a closer scrutiny of Chinese investments has led to things coming to a standstill. A detailed analysis of the broader ramifications.

What’s the buzz?
Maruti Suzuki India
is seeing a shift in the industry dynamics, wherein the once-booming trend of shared mobility is now on the backburner and people are again preferring to have their own vehicles. A reality-check.

Pi Green Innovations is bullish on India's CV owners who it says stand to benefit from its filter-less technology that will help further the lifespan of vehicles.
