Autocar Professional’s Safer Mobility Conclave on May 20
The annual virtual conclave on automotive and road safety will discuss and share ideas on making mobility and roads safer in India.
Industry leaders and safety experts from India and overseas will come together at Autocar Professional’s annual virtual conclave on automotive and road safety, on May 20, to discuss and share ideas on making mobility and roads safer in India. The theme of the seventh edition of the virtual conclave will be ‘Accelerating Towards Safer Mobility’.
Shailesh Chandra, President – passenger vehicle business units, Tata Motors, will deliver the keynote address at the online event.
India, which is currently witnessing a serious second wave of the Coronavirus, has another big, and longstanding, challenge to address. And that is to reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities on its roads. The death toll, due to road accidents, stood at over 150,000 in 2019, which put India on top of the list of nations with the highest number of road fatalities. To discuss and debate on how mobility and roads in India can get safer, Industry leaders will come together for a panel discussion each on ‘Pushing the Safety Envelope – how to make mobility safer’, and ‘Roadmap for safer Indian vehicles, and roads, at the Safer Mobility Conclave.
