Auto Expo 2014: TVS reveals Draken-X21 concept bike

TVS Motor Co has showcased its new TVS Draken 250cc street-fighter motorcycle concept at the Auto Expo 2014. The concept hints at the kind of technology and product offerings the bike maker has lined up for the Indian market in the coming future, which includes the next-generation Apache RTRs.

The TVS Draken features sharp street naked styling cues with an exposed aluminium trellis frame, compact headlight with LED lights and daytime-running lamps. It also gets inverted front telescopic forks and an off-set monoshock at the rear. The concept has an exhaust protruding from under the engine -- known as high-performance reverse flow exhaust system by TVS – which boosts power without compromising on efficiency. Braking is managed by a petal front and rear discs with ABS.

The Draken is powered by a four-stroke, 250cc, liquid-cooled and single-cylinder engine paired to a six-speed gearbox.

TVS has not confirmed when the Draken-X21 would make it to production but going by the concept, it could be a strong contender in the highly competitive 200-300cc segment.
