Audi India targets 22 pre-owned outlets in 2022

Audi India’s pre-owned car division, Audi Approved, as part of its retail expansion plans to target 22 outlets from its existing 19 by end of 2022, with the recent one inaugurated in Lucknow today, company officials have indicated.

The luxury carmaker’s used car business registered 73 percent growth in the January to September 2022 period , Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said.

Every pre-owned vehicle displayed and sold at Audi Approved: Plus showrooms undergoes mechanical, bodywork, interior, and electrical inspections at 300+ multi-point checks and thorough multiple-level quality checks along with a full on-road test at its facilities, the press note said.

Company officials said that in the Audi Approved: Plus program, the company offers 24x7 Roadside Assistance and complete vehicle history before purchase. Additionally, customers can also avail of easy financing and insurance benefits through the programme.

Audi hopes to tap the demand for pre-owned cars in the Lucknow and adjoining areas, its dealer principal said.

A recent study by OLX Autos and Crisil had suggested that within the overall used car market, the luxury cars have seen a significant rise in both demand and supply in the first half of the current calendar. India’s Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are seeing demand for luxury cars as discretionary spending returns to pre-covid levels and disposable incomes increase.
