Ashok Leyland’s sales jump by 88 percent
For September 2022, individually H&HCV business upped its game with total sales at 9927 units for September period as compared to 4620 units in the same month.
Ashok Leyland recorded vehicle sales of 16,499 units, up by 88 percent from 8787 units a year ago in September 2021. Its YTD sales also jumped by 90 percent to 79639 units on September 2022 as compared to 41866 units on Sept 2021.
The overall sharp growth was seen in its M&HCV trucks and buses and LCV that have shown 115 percent 215 percent, and 124 percent growth respectively.
For September 2022, individually H&HCV business upped its game with total sales at 9927 units for September period as compared to 4620 units in the same month.
The M&HCV bus portfolio had a sharp spike of 215 percent to 1387 units from 440 units same month last year. The LCV business too managed to play catch up growing by 39 percent from 4473 units on September 2021 to 6235 units on September 2022.
The sales of both domestic and exports totalled 17549 units for September 2022, up by 84 percent as compared to 9533 units for September 2021.
Emkay Global Financial Services has retained its positive view on the sector "The run-up to the festive season is going to be higher driven by large order book, new products, and ramp-up in production in the CV category."
