While its Dost+ and the Partner were the main attractions in the LCV space, the LSV, MBVP, Simulator and the Guru 715 were specifically for defence purposes.

The conference also saw innovative solutions in the area of spare parts, where the company came out with its concept of ‘Parts on Wheels’. It also detailed new programmes to enhance retailer engagement and means to prevent counterfeit components. The exhibits also focused on after-sales with Ashok Leyland Quick Service and an on-site training and virtual classroom, all aimed at leveraging technology and improvising the post-sales experience at its dealerships and authorised workshops.

Sharing his views at the global event, Vinod K Dasari, managing director, Ashok Leyland, said, “This 2018 conference is a platform where we showcase our innovations in products and supporting technologies which are helping us take our brand philosophy of ‘Aapki Jeet, Hamari Jeet’ forward. Last year was a good year for us and we did it on the back of our innovations like the iEGR technology for BS-IV engines. Products like the 41T fully built truck and MiTR left-hand-drive are vehicles that will fuel our growth in this year."
