Delhi-based bearings manufacturing company, ARB Bearings is in expansion mode. The company, which has been majorly supplying to farm equipment manufacturers so far, is now looking at the passenger car and heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) segments. Talking to Autocar Professional, G S Bhasin, DGM (sales and marketing), ARB Bearings said, “The company has recently invested in setting up two new manufacturing plants in Kundli, Haryana over the past two years. They will manufacture bearings suitable for cars and HCVs. This is our basic growth strategy for the near future.”
The company is showcasing the recently launched double row taper roller wheel hub bearing at the Component Show at Pragati Maidan. The double row taper roller wheel hub bearing is suitable for heavy commercial vehicles such as buses, trucks and trailers. The company is also displaying the four-row cylindrical roller bearings which at present, according to Surinder Goel, president, ARB Bearings, are largely imported into India. “Our four-row cylindrical roller bearings can substitute the imported stock without any compromise on the quality and performance fronts,” added Goel.
ARB company officials expect a 15 percent growth for the ongoing financial year and should help the company touch the Rs 125 crore mark by end-March 2014. The operations of this bearing manufacturer span across OEM-supplies, domestic aftermarket and the export market. ARB’s domestic dealer network includes 400 distributors and 5,000 retail touchpoints, while the company currently exports to nearly 40 countries.
