Aprilia SXR 160 maxi scooter launched at Rs 125,997
The Aprilia SXR 160 incorporates the company’s latest global design language and is equipped with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 3 valve fuel injection clean emission engine technology, that produces peak power of 11 PS at 7100 RPM.
Piaggio India has upped the ante in the premium scooter market with the launch of the new Aprilia SXR 160. Priced at Rs 125,997 (ex-showroom Pune), bookings are open at an initial amount of Rs 5,000 across all dealerships in India and through the e-commerce website https://apriliaindia.com/.
The premium scooter, which has a similar engine like the SR160, is equipped with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 3-valve fuel injection clean emission engine that develops peak power of 11 PS at 7100rpm. The maxi-styled scooter has a seven-litre fuel tank.

Equipped with a large 210 cm square multifunctional all-digital cluster display, the scooter displays digital speed indicator, rpm meter, mileage indicator, average speed and top speed display, digital fuel indicator, ABS indicator, nd engine malfunction indicator. Customers can also opt for the mobile connectivity accessory which connects the user’s mobile to the scooter and helps them in locating it, raising security alarm when needed and more.
The SXR 160 has Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) along with ventilated disc brake and twin pots calliper hydraulic brakes. It will be available in Glossy Red, Matt Blue, Glossy White and Matt Black colours.
The new Aprilia SXR160 will be manufactured at the Baramati plant which also produces the Vespa and SR range of scooters.
