Apollo Tyres has launched three new products for the Indian market. While the Apterra HT2 is targeted at the fast-growing 4x4 and SUV segment, the actiZip F2 and actiZip R3 tubeless tyres have been introduced for motorcycles.

Developed jointly by the company’s global R&D Centres in Chennai and Enschede, the Netherlands, these tyres have been introduced in multiple cities across the country.

The Apterra HT2 tyres, which complement Apollo’s existing Apterra range of tyres, now covers almost the entire spectrum of SUVs and will initially be available in six sizes. With this product, the company aims to increase its share in the 300,000 per month SUV tyre market in the country.

While stiffer ribs improve braking on dry surfaces, wider circumferential grooves deliver improve braking on wet surfaces, thereby ensuring safety at high speeds. The special wear resistant tread compound also provides superior mileage, says Apollo Tyres. The Apterra HT2 can be fitted on SUVs like the Mitsubishi Pajero Sports, Land Cruiser Prado, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Volvo XC60, Mahindra Scorpio, TUV 300 and Bolero, and Tata Safari and Hexa.

Made with new age polymers-based high mileage tread compound, these tubeless tyres have a stress-free casing structure with extra protection at the tread and bead area.
