Apollo Tyres has introduced a high-mileage passenger car tyre, Apollo Amazer 4G Life, for the Indian market. The tyre, developed jointly by the company’s global R&D centres in Chennai, India and Enschede, the Netherlands, is targeted at mileage-conscious customers and promises to run up to 100,000km and beyond.

Available in five sizes (165/65 R14 79 T, 165/80 R14 85 T, 175/65 R14 82 T, 185/65 R15 88 T, 205/65 R15 94 T), the Amazer 4G Life has top-notch cut-and-puncture resistance and superior grip ensuring safety and minimum noise. It gets a 2-year warranty and will be sold through the Apollo Zones/Points premium branded outlets, and other select dealers.

The Amazer 4G Life is targeted at compact and mid-segment cars and MPVs like the Maruti Swift and Dzire, Tata Indigo, Toyota Etios, Honda City and Amaze, Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova and Honda Mobilio.

Speaking about the new tyre, Satish Sharma, president, Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, Apollo Tyres, said: “This tyre is a result of an intensive market study done by our internal team in the past 2-3 years to assess the gap in the tyres available in the market. This product gap, along with feedback from the customers, was utilised by our R&D team to develop this technologically advanced tyre, with superior longevity, especially for the Indian road conditions. Our controlled test results have proven that the tyre can go up to 100,000km and beyond.”

Apollo Tyres says the Amazer 4G Life has undergone extensive real-world road driving conditions. The company currently has a 17 percent share of the replacement market and around 21 percent of the OE segment in India in the passenger car tyre category.
