Ankush Arora is to take over as president of Nissan Motor India. He will replace Guillaume Sicard, who is moving over to a new role as vice-president (Sales & Marketing) at Renault Asia Pacific.

Ankush Arora had quit Tata Motors as its senior vice-president (Passenger Vehicle Business Unit) in May 2014 to join the Mansour Group of Egypt as CEO of its private equity arm, operating out of Cairo and Dubai. The Mansour Group has business interests in the automotive, capital markets, consumer and retail, industrial equipment and services sectors.

Prior to joining Tata Motors, where he worked for about a year, Arora had a 17-year stint at General Motors.

Guillaume Sicard, who was appointed president of Nissan Motor India on October 1, 2014, was previously Nissan’s deputy president in India since July 2014. In his two-and-a-half-year India assignment, Sicard was responsible for all the company’s operations, including manufacturing at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Chennai.
