Anant Geete and Nitin Gadkari laud Indian automotive industry

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016 was officially inaugurated today by Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, and Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2016, which is being held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, was officially inaugurated by Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, and Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways.

The inauguration tool place in the presence of Yong Geun Kim, president, OICA; Vinnie Mehta, director general, ACMA; Arvind Balaji, president, ACMA; Vinod Dasari, president, SIAM; Chandrajit Banerjee, director, CII; Sumit Mazumder, president, CII; Vishnu Mathur, director general, SIAM and Rama Raman, CEO, NOIDA and Greater NOIDA authority.

Anant Geete, Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, said the government is and has always been pro-industry. He said that the ‘Make in India’ campaign has been a huge success and has increased the possibilities for industry in the country. He added that India is worth investing in and assured that the investments are eventually going to pay off for investors. He further said that the growth of the show signifies the growth of the automotive industry.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highway, said that the government wants the industry to adopt innovative measures so that progress can be ramped up. He said that the industry has grown by leaps and bounds and would be doing well in the future as well with the cooperation from the government.
