100 JBM Citylife buses flagged off in Delhi

The total fleet of low floor buses in the Capital are now 470

A 100 low-floor BS6 air-conditioned Citylife buses manufactured by JBM Group were flagged off in Delhi by Arvind Kejriwal, chief Minister of the NCR. With the addition of these buses, Delhi will have a fleet of over 470 low-floor buses rolled out under the cluster scheme by Transport Department, of the government of India.

Earlier this year, JBM Auto had received an order of 500 CNG/electric buses for Delhi. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group said, “JBM aims to create a public transport ecosystem running on clean energy sources. These buses have been designed to offer an exceptional traveling experience and reduce the harmful emission of polluting agents that are damaging the environment.”

The CityLIfe buses manufactured by JBM Auto run on CNG and are equipped with several features such as Smart Card Ticketing system, Real Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS), Automatic Bus Vehicle Location System, CCTV cameras, public address system and stop request buttons, wheelchair ramp, to name a few. The Citylife range has been plying in New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Greater Noida for over three years now and are also ferry passengers at the Delhi International airport.
