Ashok Leyland domestic wholesales reach 15,323 units in December 2023, reports 10% YoY drop
The bus segment saw a noteworthy YoY growth of 30%.
Ashok Leyland has announced its domestic wholesales figures for December 2023. The total domestic wholesales for commercial vehicles reached 15,323 units, reflecting a 10% year-on year (YoY) decline compared to the 17,112 units recorded in December of the previous year.
The M&HCV (Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle) segment reported 10,102 units in December 2023, indicating an 11% YoY decrease from the 11,399 units in the same month of 2022.
Sales of trucks within the M&HCV segment declined by 17% to 8,379 units in December 2023, compared to 10,069 units in December 2022.
In contrast, the buses segment saw a noteworthy YoY growth of 30%, with sales reaching 1,723 units in December 2023, up from 1,330 units in December of the previous year.
The Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) category experienced a 9% decline, totaling 5,221 units in December 2023, compared to 5,713 units in the corresponding period of the previous year.
