Yulu Crosses 2 Billion Kilometres of Green Rides, Doubling Its Record in 14 Months

Yulu announced on March 30, 2026 that its electric vehicles have cumulatively covered 2 billion kilometres across India, a milestone the company says is more than any other player in the shared EV segment. The figure doubled in approximately 14 months, having taken six years to reach the 1-billion-kilometre mark.

The acceleration has been driven by demand from quick-commerce and on-demand household services platforms. Yulu's delivery EVs are integrated with Zomato, Swiggy, Big Basket, Blinkit, Flipkart Minutes, Instamart, Zepto, and on-demand home services platforms including Pronto, Snabbit, and Urban Company.

The company says its platform has helped gig workers save 30–40% more compared to operating petrol vehicles, by removing barriers around vehicle access, cost, creditworthiness, and maintenance. Over 500,000 gig workers have used the platform to date, including more than 1,000 women riders. In environmental terms, the cumulative fleet activity has helped avoid 54 million kg of urban CO2 emissions over seven years.

Amit Gupta, CEO & Co-founder of Yulu, said: "The 2-billion-kilometre milestone reflects not only Yulu's market leadership, but also the deep impact we are creating across India's urban mobility landscape. What started as a bold vision to build a sustainable and accessible solution has today become a critical enabler for millions of users and citizens. As we look ahead, Yulu reaffirms our commitment to helping people, businesses and cities to move better."

Yulu operates a fleet of 45,000 electric two-wheelers across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Hyderabad, supported by its AI-powered mobility stack and energy infrastructure via Yuma Energy. For FY2027, the company aims to double its fleet size and expand into new cities through company-led and partner-led launches.
