Domestic volumes grow 38% while exports increase 33% year-on-year

Suzuki Motorcycle India Sales Rise 37% in February 2026

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) reported total sales of 1,23,299 units in February 2026, marking a 37% year-on-year increase compared to 89,966 units sold in February 2025.

Domestic sales stood at 1,01,071 units during the month, up 38% from 73,215 units in the corresponding month last year. Exports reached 22,228 units, registering a 33% rise over 16,751 units shipped in February 2025.

Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing at SMIPL, said the company’s growth reflects continued customer and dealer support. He added that the company remains focused on expanding rider engagement initiatives and delivering products and services aimed at meeting everyday mobility needs.

Apart from vehicle sales, SMIPL reported spare parts revenue of ₹893.6 million in February 2026, reflecting an 18% increase over the previous year.

During the month, the company introduced an updated version of the Suzuki Access equipped with a single-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). It also expanded its retail network with the inauguration of Kanak Suzuki in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and opened its first dealership in Gangtok, marking its entry into Sikkim. With this expansion, SMIPL now has a presence across all Indian states.

On the engagement front, SMIPL organised the Hyderabad edition of its Suzuki Matsuri motorcycling festival, which saw participation from over 3,700 riders and customers. The company also took part in Anime India 2026 in Kolkata and conducted the nationwide Suzuki Motofest campaign. Other activities included GIXER Pit Stop events in multiple cities, the V-Strom Experience Day in Vadodara, and the Suzuki Access Mileage Contest in Angul and Rupnagar.

SMIPL, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, began operations in India in February 2006 at its manufacturing facility in Kherki Daula, Gurugram, Haryana. The plant has an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units and produces scooters, premium motorcycles, and big bikes for the domestic and export markets.
