Suzuki Motorcycle India Adds White Colour Option to Burgman Street EX
The Gurugram-based company has expanded the Burgman Street EX's colour range to three options, with the scooter priced at ₹1,07,902 ex-showroom Delhi.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) on Monday announced the addition of a Pearl Grace White colour variant for its Burgman Street EX scooter. The update expands the model's colour range to three options: Pearl Grace White, Metallic Royal Bronze, and Metallic Matte Black No. 2. The announcement was made from the company's headquarters in Gurugram, Haryana.
The Burgman Street EX is priced at ₹1,07,902 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available across Suzuki dealerships nationwide. The addition of a new colour option does not affect the scooter's pricing or specifications.
Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at SMIPL, said the Burgman Street EX had been received well for its design, technology, and riding position, and that the new colour was intended to broaden its appeal. "With this new update, we further enhance its overall appeal while staying true to the trusted quality and reliability that customers associate with Suzuki," he said.
The move is consistent with a wider practice in the Indian two-wheeler segment, where manufacturers periodically introduce new colour options to sustain consumer interest in existing models without undertaking a full-scale product revision. In a competitive 125cc scooter market that includes models from Honda, TVS, and Hero MotoCorp, such updates are a routine part of product lifecycle management.
The Burgman Street EX is powered by a 124cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder aluminium engine producing 8.6 PS at 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. It uses Suzuki's Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine technology combined with fuel injection, which the company says reduces fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining performance.
For everyday use, the scooter includes an Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) System, which shuts the engine during idling and restarts it when the throttle is engaged — a feature aimed at reducing fuel use in stop-and-go urban traffic. It works alongside the Suzuki Easy Start System, which starts the engine with a single press of the starter switch, and a Silent Starter System designed to reduce noise during ignition. The scooter rides on a 12-inch rear wheel with a 100/80-12 tyre, which Suzuki says improves stability and handling while giving the vehicle a wider stance.
On the technology side, the scooter comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled multi-function digital LCD instrument cluster integrated with the Suzuki Ride Connect platform, which allows the rider to connect a smartphone for notifications and navigation support. Lighting is handled by LED units at both ends. Additional features include a body-mounted windscreen, 21.5-litre under-seat storage, and a dual-tone seat with an outstretched riding position that the company says is suited to longer rides.
SMIPL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, commenced operations in India in February 2006. Its manufacturing facility at Kherki Daula in Gurugram has an annual production capacity of 1.3 million units. The company's product portfolio spans 125cc scooters, premium motorcycles above 150cc, and big-bikes. The Burgman Street series has been positioned as one of the brand's flagship scooter offerings in the Indian market, targeting riders who prioritise comfort and a maxi-scooter design aesthetic at an accessible price point.
