Motovolt Records 1,365 EV Registrations in August

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Motovolt Mobility recorded 1,365 vehicle registrations in August 2026, its highest monthly volume so far, according to the company. The registrations were 108% higher than in July and more than five times the level recorded in August 2025.

The company said the August registrations placed it among the top 10 electric vehicle manufacturers on the VAHAN portal. The increase was supported by demand from the commercial mobility segment, along with expansion of its retail network.

Motovolt's M7 Electric Scooter and Battery-Swapping Options

Motovolt's product portfolio includes electric cycles, e-mopeds and the M7 range of electric scooters. The M7 is also available in variants that use battery-swapping systems from Indofast Energy and Yuma Energy. The company said the scooters are used by fleet operators as well as individual customers.

“While the broader shift in consumer preference led by rising fuel costs, and support through government incentives, has helped the electric two-wheeler segment grow, we have designed solutions for our fleet partners and consumers,” said Tushar Choudhary, founder and CEO of Motovolt Mobility.

Choudhary said the company would continue to focus on products for commuting and livelihood-related applications, while working on its product portfolio and customer service.

Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Kolkata, Motovolt said it has delivered more than 35,000 vehicles to date. According to the company, these vehicles have covered more than 65 million kilometres.
