Lumax Auto Technologies Appoints Satish Sundaresan as Chief Technology Officer

Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd has appointed Satish Sundaresan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), designated as Senior Management Personnel. His appointment, approved by the company’s Board of Directors on March 1, 2025, will take effect from March 3, 2025.

Sundaresan brings with him over 24 years of experience in leadership roles across both automotive and non-automotive sectors. An alumnus of Mumbai University with a degree in Instrumentation Engineering, he has further honed his expertise through programs in Strategy and Business Management from ISB Hyderabad and General Management from IIM Bangalore.

He has previously held key positions at prominent organizations, including Mercedes-Benz R&D Pvt. Ltd., Infosys Technologies, Robert Bosch, and Reliance. His most recent role was as Chief Strategy Officer at Elektrobit India, where he spearheaded initiatives in ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), cybersecurity, connected mobility, and automated driving.

The appointment of Sundaresan is expected to bolster Lumax Auto Technologies' innovation strategy, particularly in the evolving fields of automotive technology and mobility solutions. His vast experience in product development and market-driven technological advancements will play a crucial role in shaping the company’s future roadmap.

The company has confirmed that there are no direct relationships between Sundaresan and any of its board members. The decision was made based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Lumax Auto Technologies Limited is an Indian automotive components manufacturer specializing in lighting systems, chassis components, and electronics. Part of the DK Jain Group, the company supplies to major automobile manufacturers in India and exports to global markets. Established in 1981, Lumax has manufacturing facilities across multiple locations in India.

It focuses on technological advancements, including automotive lighting, telematics, and vehicle electronics. The company collaborates with international partners for research and development. Lumax also provides aftermarket solutions and serves both two-wheeler and four-wheeler segments.
