LeafyBus Introduces Complimentary Sanitary Kits for Women Passengers on Sleeper Routes
The intercity bus operator has rolled out hygiene kits onboard all sleeper routes, citing growing demand from women travelling independently for work and leisure.
LeafyBus, an intercity sleeper bus operator, has launched a campaign called #CareOnboard that provides complimentary sanitary kits to women passengers travelling on its sleeper routes. The initiative, timed around International Women's Day, makes compact hygiene kits available onboard buses operating across key intercity corridors in India.
Each kit contains sanitary pads, tissue paper, hand sanitiser, and face wipes. According to the company, the kits are designed to be pocket-sized, discreet, and accessible at any point during a journey. The initiative is intended to address hygiene needs that may arise unexpectedly during overnight or long-distance travel.
LeafyBus stated that the campaign was developed in response to passenger feedback and a broader trend of more women travelling independently for work, education, and personal reasons. The company cited affordability and convenience as factors behind the growing preference for intercity bus travel among this demographic.
The #CareOnboard campaign is part of LeafyBus's wider effort to enhance the onboard experience for women passengers. The company has not disclosed the cost of the programme or the number of buses currently participating, though it indicated that all sleeper route services are included from the current week.
LeafyBus is an intercity sleeper bus service focused on delivering a comfortable and reliable travel experience across key routes in India. The company emphasises passenger convenience, modern onboard amenities, and service innovations designed to enhance long-distance bus travel.
