Greenfuel Partners with ACS to Supply LNG Tanks for India’s OEM Market

Greenfuel Energy Solutions, a supplier of clean mobility components for Tier 1 OEMs in India, has announced an exclusive partnership with Advanced Cryomotive Systems (ACS) for the distribution of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) tanks in the Indian OEM market.

Under the agreement, Greenfuel will procure and supply ACS’s cryogenic LNG tanks for automotive applications. These tanks, certified under UNECE R110 standards, are designed to meet current safety, durability, and performance expectations in the industry. The tanks will include 16 bar variants, which have become a standard in LNG-powered vehicles.

The collaboration aims to address a range of mobility and transport requirements in India’s evolving energy landscape. Greenfuel stated that the introduction of these tanks is part of its broader efforts to promote alternative fuel technologies.

Akshay Kashyap, Managing Director of Greenfuel, said the company intends to expand access to established clean energy solutions through this partnership. Dr. Prashant Kamath, Sales & Marketing Director at ACS, noted that the Indian market offers potential for LNG-based transport systems and that Greenfuel’s market presence makes it a suitable partner.

The initiative also aligns with the “Make in India” program, with both companies exploring the localization of advanced manufacturing processes related to LNG tank production.

Advanced Cryomotive Systems was founded in 2024 through a collaboration between Shell-N-Tube (SNT) and Blue Basic (BB) from India and HVM from Italy. The company specializes in cryogenic tank systems for clean energy mobility.

Greenfuel Energy Solutions, established in 2006, supplies CNG, LNG, and hydrogen components for both commercial and passenger vehicles, along with related infrastructure products.
