ZF Services looks to tap growing aftermarket in India

ZF Services, the aftermarket business unit of ZF, is optimistic about future of aftermarket segment in India.  

The division is focused on growing its presence in India and is optimistic about tapping the growing aftermarket segment in India by providing innovative OE quality products and technical services for passenger car, commercial vehicle and off highway segments.

With its rich history of 100 years, ZF has established itself as a global automotive supplier and a reliable aftermarket partner that supports the entire lifecycle of vehicles. The new state-of-the-art plant in the Chakan industrial park in Pune with an investment of nearly €20 million (Rs 150 crore) underscores the company’s commitment to the Indian market and showcases its growth trajectory in the country. Built on a plot size of 85,000 square meters (21 acres), the new plant has additional capacity that will enable the further expansion of ZF’s business in India.

The passenger car segment is a key focus for ZF in India and ZF Services says it is committed to supplying the independent aftermarket with OE-quality products and complete technical support. For the high-end passenger car segment, ZF Services has introduced a host of products including clutches and shock absorbers from Sachs as well as rubber-metal parts and steering components. For the popular mass passenger car segments, the company has a broad range of spare parts including 74 new steering and suspension components from Lemförder for leading OEMs.

With an expected double-digit growth the passenger car segment, the segment is crucial for ZF Services’ growth in India.

In the commercial vehicle segment, ZF provides transmissions, torque rods and v-links to major OEMS in India. While ZF Services has a range of offerings for both domestic as well as European Trucks and Buses. This includes, powertrain components, steering and suspension parts, shock absorbers and gearbox components. In addition, transmission and axle parts for Off-Highway division are also catered for.

For both the passenger car and commercial vehicle segments, ZF Services has strengthened its distribution network through authorized parts dealers and services partners in India. This has significantly augmented wider availability and support for the aftermarket products and services.
