Minda Industries posts strong growth with a profit of Rs 289 crore, YOY growth of 5 percent. The company registered a revenue of Rs 5908 Cr, with a growth of 32 percent year on year from Rs 4,471 crore in FY18.
Minda Industries claims that they achieved these figures on the back of lower RMC on consolidated basis and higher capacity utilisation in new businesses like MKA, MRPL, Rinder and recovery at Clarton Horn. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) attributable to MIL grew by 12 percent to Rs. 286 crore in FY19 as against Rs 256 crore in FY18.
Product wise Analysis: FY 19
Switching Systems: This segment achieved revenue of Rs. 2,237 crore for FY19, contributing about 37.9 percent of the total consolidated turnover for the company. The EBITDA margin in this segment was around 12.55 percent this year.
Lighting Systems Division
Lighting division achieved revenue of Rs 1,293 crore for FY19, contributing 21.90 percent to its total turnover. The EBITDA margin in this segment was around 10.19 percent this year.
Acoustic Division or Horns Business
Acoustic Division achieved revenue of Rs 717 crore for FY19, contributing 12.10 percent to its total turnover. The EBITDA margin in this segment was around 9.4 percent this year.
Light Metal Technologies
4MT Division achieved revenue of Rs 908 crore for FY19, contributing 15.0 percent to total turnover. The EBITDA margin in this segment was around 23 percent this year.
Minda industries claimed that it achieved revenue of Rs 754 crore for FY19 from other products and EBITDA margin of 10 percent. Several products amongst these are newer business with potential for high growth.
