Range Rover Launches Velar Autobiography in India at ₹89.90 Lakh
Priced ₹5 lakh above the base Dynamic SE, the Velar Autobiography is available with both petrol and diesel engines.
Range Rover has introduced the new Velar Autobiography variant in India, priced at ₹89.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as the top-of-the-line trim in the Velar range, the Autobiography joins the existing Dynamic SE variant, which is priced at ₹84.90 lakh. The new variant comes with a range of design, comfort, and technology upgrades and is available with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
The Velar Autobiography can be configured with either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (P250) producing 250 hp and 365 Nm of torque, or a 2.0-litre four-cylinder mild-hybrid diesel engine (D200) delivering 204 hp and 430 Nm of torque. Both engine options are paired with an automatic transmission and are designed to deliver a refined and capable driving experience suited to Indian conditions.
Visually, the Autobiography retains the Velar’s signature minimalist aesthetic with a floating roof, flush door handles, and Pixel LED headlights with signature DRLs. It comes equipped with a sliding panoramic roof, 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels, and a black contrast roof. Burnished Copper accents provide additional styling cues that distinguish it from other trims.
Inside, the Autobiography variant introduces a more luxurious cabin with Full Extended Windsor leather upholstery, Suedecloth headlining, and Shadow Grey Ash veneers. The front seats are 20-way adjustable with massage function, while the rear seats offer power-recline functionality. Other interior features include four-zone climate control, configurable ambient lighting, and a Meridian 3D Surround Sound System.
In terms of technology and convenience, the Velar Autobiography is equipped with a range of advanced features such as Terrain Response 2, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics, Wade Sensing, and a 3D Surround Camera system. Cabin Air Purification Plus and a host of driver assistance systems are also included to enhance comfort and safety.
With its combination of refined performance, luxury appointments, and off-road capability, the Velar Autobiography strengthens Range Rover’s premium SUV offering in India. It caters to buyers seeking a higher level of comfort and features over the Dynamic SE, with a ₹5 lakh price premium.
