Tata Motors sells 94,210 vehicles globally in August, up 9%

Tata Motors passenger vehicles global sales accounted for 15.34 percent of its total sales, while JLR sales accounted for 47.14 percent and its CV business accounted for 37.52 percent.

Tata Motors sells 94,210 vehicles globally in August, up 9%

The Tata Motors Group, which includes Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), today reported its August, 2017 global sales result. The company sold a total of 94,210 vehicles in the month, witnessing a 9 percent growth compared to same period last year.

Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles (CV) and the Tata Daewoo range saw 35,352 vehicles being sold for the period of August,2017 an increase of 17 percent  over same period last year.

For the same period the company reported selling 58,858 passenger vehicles globally witnessing an increase of 5 percent, compared to August 2016.

While Jaguar Land Rover, sold 44,420 vehicles (*JLR number for August 17 includes CJLR volumes of 7,026 units), that includes Jaguar sales of 10,978 vehicles, while Land Rover sold 33,442 vehicles.

 
*CJLR is a JV between JLR and Chery Automobiles and is an unconsolidated subsidiary for JLR
