Tata Motors bags 25 awards at INSSAN’s 20th National Creativity Summit 2018
Tata Motors' Sanand plant bagged 25 awards during the summit.27 employees from Sanand Plant won awards across nine categories in the summit this year.
Tata Motors has announced that its Sanand plant has won 25 awards at the 20th National creativity summit organised by the Indian National Suggestion Schemes’ Association (INSSAN) on June 7-8, 2018 in New Delhi. The theme of the summit was ‘Employee Creativity - A Key Factor for Business Sustainability’.
INSSAN is a non-profit organisation making registered association of industrial and business organisations, dedicated to the promotion of employee involvement through suggestions/ideas. It achieves its mission by helping the member organisations to capitalise their employee’s creative potential by providing opportunities to meet and exchange information, ideas and to share experiences and success stories through workshops, seminars, conferences, annual convention and so on. It also facilitates in-house consultancy/training interventions towards initiating or enhancing employee involvement in suggestion scheme/employee involvement forums.
Douglas Webster (COO – Delhi International Airport) and Devendra Mishra (executive director, Shri Ram Pistons and Rings, Pathredi) inaugurated the summit and addressed the participants. Tata Motors’ Sanand plant won multiple awards in nine categories at the 2-day summit held in capital city, organised by the northern chapter of INSSAN. Tata Motors Sanand won three awards in each category – essay, poem, poster, slogan, 'sujhav ratna', creativity champion and idea management champion and distinguished evaluator while two awards each in slogan and case study categories. The awards won were across levels including excellence, par excellence and distinguished.
Around 330 participants attended the summit from various industries like automobile and auto component OEMs, public sector, FMCG and infrastructure. Apart from Tata Motors’ Sanand Plant, its Pantnagar plant and Lucknow plant, several companies like Bharat Electronics – Ghaziabad, Hero MotoCorp– Gurgaon, Munjal Showa – Gurgaon, Mahindra & Mahindra – Rudrapur, Delhi International Airport– New Delhi, Hero MotoCorp -Dharuhera, Steel Authority of India – New Delhi and Shri Ram Pistons & Rings– Pathredi also participated in the summit to name a few.
In 2017, Tata Motors’ Sanand plant had won 17 awards at the 19th National creativity summit organised by INSSAN.
