Sonalika ITL to setup operations in Netherlands, to support European biz

Domestic tractor manufacturer, Sonalika ITL has announced that it has signed a MoU with the government of Netharlands. It plans to cater to international markets of Europe via Netherlands, through its Solis-Sonalika brand.

In a meeting held between the prime minister of Netherlands, Mark Rutte and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, the tractor manufacturers managing director, Dr Deepak Mittal, discussed about Sonalika’s strategic investments and involvement in Netherlands. He informed that not only has the company signed an MoU for investing in Netherlands but has also signed an MoU with Dutch Counterpart through INDUS forum on doubling farmer’s income by providing guidance and solutions, especially in the domain of Biomass management.

Dr Deepak Mittal, said, “We are a leading tractor brand in India and with exports of 15 percent, our presence is over 100 countries all over the world, with 33 countries of Europe, only. Netherlands being a strategic location, it’s a momentous opportunity to commence our operations there, which will help to further strengthen our footprints in European Union”.

Raman Mittal, executive director, Sonalika Group, who was a part of the CEO roundtable held at Hyderabad House, chaired by the prime minister of India and Netherlands said, “We recently achieved a milestone of 1 lakh tractors sales in 1 year (FY 2017-18) The meeting held extensive discussions regarding various aspects like strengthening co-operation in sectors like agriculture and food processing, horticulture, water management, logistics, life sciences and health.”
