Hyundai showcases Nexo FCEV and Ioniq EV at India-Korea Business Summit 2018
Korean carmaker displays its technological flagship which travels 609km on a single charge and is free from any greenhouse gas emissions as the vehicle filters and purifies the air during its drive.
Hyundai Motor today showcased its next-generation Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) Nexo and its global electric vehicle Ioniq at the India-Korea Business Summit 2018 held today in New Delhi.
The Nexo, Hyundai’s technological flagship model, combines the practicality of an SUV with clean advanced fuel cell technology. It is capable of travelling 609 kilometres on a single charge, the best among fuel cell-powered vehicles in the world.
Hyundai says this next-generation vehicle offers the most advanced technology currently in the market with various advanced driver assistance systems and the strongest powertrains in the segment.
Interestingly, the Nexo is free from any greenhouse gas emissions as the vehicle filters and purifies the air during its drive. When air filters through the SUV, 99.9 percent of particulates are purified and the instrument cluster displays how much you have contributed towards cleaning the environment. This process of cleaning the air was demonstrated live at the India Korea Business Summit 2018.
The Nexo is set to spearhead Hyundai Motor’s plans to accelerate development of low emission vehicles globally.
The Hyundai Ioniq is the world’s first car to offer all three electrified versions: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric.
S H Kim, vice-president, Namyang R&D Centre, Hyundai Motor Company, said, “We are glad to participate in the second India-Korea Business Summit 2018. Hyundai has a long-term commitment towards Make-in-India for the past 20 years and today we are proud to showcase the next-generation FCEV, Hyundai Nexo SUV for the first time along with the Ioniq global EV.”
“The creation of the Nexo SUV and Ioniq is a significant leap forward for Hyundai Motor as it intensifies our efforts to produce highly efficient, eco-friendly vehicles. Hyundai as a caring brand is continuously innovating in clean and connected mobility solutions to make a long-term positive transformation for our future generations,” he added.
