Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Passion Pro and Passion Xpro commuter motorcycles at Rs 53,189 and Rs 54,189 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The company claims the new launches will further help it consolidate its 70 percent market share in the 100-110cc motorcycle segment.

According to Ashok Bhasin, head – sales and customer care, Hero MotoCorp, "Hero MotoCorp is the clear market leader with over 50 percent market share in the domestic motorcycle market in India, and also leads the 100‐110cc segment with over 75 percent market share. Passion is the second largest selling motorcycle brand in this segment, after the Hero Splendor. The Passion 100cc is currently growing at around 20 percent. We are confident that the launch of these two new-generation Passion 110cc motorcycles will further consolidate our leadership in the domestic motorcycle market.”

New Passion Pro
The new Passion Pro is powered by a 110cc TOD (Torque on Demand) engine, which develops 9.4ps at 7500rpm and maximum torque of 9.0 Nm at 5500rpm, which translates to around 12 percent more power and torque than its previous generation.

The bike, which goes from 0‐60kph in 7.45 seconds, also features Hero’s i3S (idle‐stop‐start system). Product highlights include a new muscular fuel tank with flush-type cap, a modern signature  tail-lamp, digital‐analog meter with digital fuel gauge, tripmeter, all time headlamp on (AHO) and side stand indicator. The bike will be available in five metallic colour schemes – sports red, black monotone, force silver metallic, heavy grey metallic and frost blue metallic, and in both drum- and disc-brake variants.

New Passion Xpro
The Xpro differs slightly from the Passion Pro, the key differences being the dual‐tone mirrors and LED tail-lamp. Engine specs and performance are the same as its sibling. The motorcycle is available in both drum- and disc-brake variants.
