Bajaj Auto posts net profit of Rs. 1,112 crore in Q2, down 1% YoY

Pune-based two-wheeler and commercial vehicle manufacturer Bajaj Auto has clocked revenue of Rs 6,863 crore during Q2 of the current financial year. The figure, highest-ever for the company, is an increase of 1 percent over the previous year . The company’s net profit, though, dropped 1 percent to Rs 1,112 crore (Q2FY17: Rs 1,123 crore).
The company’s EBITDA came in at Rs 1,383 crore or 20.8 percent compared to 22.3 percent for the same period last year.
In the quarter ended September, 2017, the company sold 583,997 two-wheelers (+1% YoY), and 84,938 commercial vehicles (+14% YoY), witnessing total domestic sales 668,935 units (+2% YoY).
The company exported a total of 402,575 units (2W: 334,724 units, Cvs: 67,851), an increase of 6 percent. As per the company, 41 percent or 428,752 units of its Q2 FY18 sales, were sold in September.
