Volkswagen India sets off on 17-city roadshow to drive Ameo bookings
Beginning from May 12, the multi-city roadshow will continue through July 2, 2016, giving customers across these cities an opportunity to check out the made-for-India Ameo.
Volkswagen India has announced a 17-city roadshow for its Ameo compact sedan which is slated to be launched within a few months.
Beginning from May 12, the multi-city roadshow will continue through July 2, 2016, giving customers across these cities an opportunity to check out the made-for-India car. The 17 cities comprise Pune, Surat, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Nagpur, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Coimbatore and Mumbai.
During course of this multi-city preview, Volkswagen India will begin accepting bookings for the Ameo across all dealerships. Prospective customers will also be able to access details about the Ameo from the exclusive mobile application or the Volkswagen corporate website. The mobile application will be made available on android as well as iOS platforms.
Commenting on the planned Ameo roadshow, Michael Mayer, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said, “The Ameo is a truly special carline designed specifically for our Indian consumers. With the Ameo, we seek to reach out to customers in the Tier 2 and 3 markets. To digitise the customer interface and facilitate the bookings, we are also launching a mobile application for the benefit of interested customers.”
The Ameo, which made its world premiere at the Auto Expo 2016, will be available with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder MPI petrol engine and the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TDI engine. The sedan comes equipped with dual front airbags and ABS as standard fitment across variants. It also gets first-in-segment features like cruise control and rain-sensing wipers along with static cornering lights.
