Rajasthan-based Nihon Parkerizing India, the subsidiary of Japanese chemical major Nihon Parkerizing, is to roll out the first batch of domestically manufactured ‘Nox-Rust’, a corrosion protection product for the automotive and steel sectors, from April 2018.

The company started its operations six years ago, as a 100 percent subsidiary of Nihon Parkerizing, Japan at Neemrana with an investment of around Rs 100 crore. Its earlier JV with Kansai Nerolac Paints ended in 2012.

With the rapid growth of Indian automotive industry and its expanding client base in India, Parker Industries, Japan, another group company of Nihon Parkerizing, has entered the domestic market by forming a subsidiary company with Nihon Parkerizing India to start local manufacturing of its products under the brand name of ‘Nox-Rust’, said Y.Satomi, president, Parker Industries, Japan, during the visit.

It aims to capture a major share in the business of corrosion protection products in the automotive and steel sector. K Satomi, chairman, Nihon Parkerizing Group, who recently visited India is optimistic on the Indian market, and keen to further invest in the country.

The company currently has been supplying imported Nox-Rust products to Japanese automotive OEMs like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Honda, among others.
