Starting November 1, MyTVS, a major integrated multi-brand car service provider, will also service its customers' cars at their homes or offices. The service will be offered only in Chennai initially.

'Service at Home' is an exclusive facility that is enabled by the company’s own IoT (Internet of Things) platform - ‘Car Talk.’ Car Talk is a diagnostic application tool that combines mobility, IoT, telematics, and CRM to predict repairs before it occurs. Car Talk can diagnose and identify over 8400 potential issues in the car, of which over 500 types of service repairs that occur frequently can be attended at home/office thereby connecting the physical service centre with the Service at Home solution.

The service at home facility will be front-ended by a mobile van which will have a service advisor/ technician along with the necessary toolkits readily available in the van. Car Talk has also uniquely conceptualised Parts on Demand where the Service at Home technician can order from his mobile and the part can be delivered within the next one hour based upon the diagnostics. This would ensure the service is completed within 90 – 120 minutes at the customer’s site.

MyTVS can service all the major car brands and models and ensure that it provides quality spare parts through its direct sourcing partnerships with over 25 manufacturers and suppliers. It has set up a state-of-the-art knowledge and innovation centre to train its service advisors/ technicians and ensure that their skills are up-to-date. Apart from this, the CarTalk platform is integrated with a unique TechAssist tool that will enable the technicians to access step-by-step OE-recommended repair procedures at their fingertips based on the identified symptoms to provide best quality service.

MyTVS is planning to have about 20 mobile vans in Chennai, to begin with, and will subsequently roll out in Bangalore. With this, the company expects to provide anywhere between 60 to 100 ‘Service at Home’ requests a day. The IoT platform not only prepares the first time diagnostics correct, it also provides transparency and convenience (order, book, payment, etc, can be done from his mobile) to customers. It also helps the customer to predict future issues and take corrective action. Besides, the platform will also provide 24x7 roadside assistance service for its customers, where we promise to reach the customer in the event of a breakdown or accident within 45 minutes anywhere in India.

MyTVS has a total network of around 250 outlets across 6 States in the country. It plans to double its network strength by next year and reach 1000 outlets in the next 3 years. The company has also established a strategic partnership and collaboration with insurance companies which helps the business to provide services like cashless and free accident assist services to their policyholders.
