Honda 2Wheelers launches loyalty program for new and existing customers

The customers can redeem the points by opting for 5 percent discount on spare parts, 10 percent off on accessories or 15 percent off on labour charges at any time depending on the service with no fixed upper limit on amount of bill.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which completed its 18th year in India. It has announced a new loyalty program for its customers called 'Honda Joy Club'. The company says that this is a first-of-its-kind loyalty program, which will offer benefits for both its existing and new customers.

India has been a leading market for the Japanese company, contributing 32 percent to Honda’s sales worldwide. The company in its 18 years of presence in the country, has sold over 39 million two-wheelers, which it says is helping it sell a unit every five-seconds.

To engage with its new customers and retain the relationship with its existing customers, the company's loyalty scheme will offer digital points that can be redeemed for discounts and other schemes. Under the scheme a new membership will costs Rs 299 (plus taxes extra) for three years, Honda says its privileged customers will also get up to seven times instant returns at the time of enrolment itself.

Post the membership purchase, every time a customers get their vehicle serviced at Honda authorised touchpoint,  will earn one Honda currency for every four rupees spent on their every servicing bill in the three years’ span. The loyalty program will allow customers to earn more currency in their e-wallet and fast-track their membership tiers by referrals, upgradation and exchange of vehicles as well.  The customers can redeem the points by opting for 5 percent discount on spare parts, 10 percent off on accessories or 15 percent off on labour charges at any time depending on the service with no fixed upper limit on amount of bill. The experience will also add the convenience of 3 free vehicle wash and even 1 free vehicle pick-and-drop service.

Additionally, customers can choose to redeem their earned currency not just within Honda, but also with the company's partners including availing discounts on hospitality, travel, healthcare, apparel, F&B, entertainment, personal care, insurance, utility bills, cashback through E-wallet and many more with big brands like Yatra.com, BookMyShow.com, Tata Sky, Swiggy, H3U and many others.
