Greaves Cotton rolls out 3 millionth light diesel engine
Greaves Cotton achieved a major milestone on February 17 with the roll-out of its three millionth light diesel engine.
Commenting on this milestone, Pahilajani said: "Greaves Cotton’s customer-centric approach with ability to adapt to evolving market dynamics has made it a formidable player in the light engines business. Our growing presence in the four-wheeler Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV) market is a testimony to our strong in-house R&D and manufacturing capabilities. I am confident that the next million landmark will be even quicker.”
Greaves auto engines power a host of SCVs from Piaggio, Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra and Atul Auto, among others. In addition, Greaves engines also cater to tractors and a range of off-road applications.
Greaves Cotton, which has 11 manufacturing units in India, has a dedicated technology centre which designs and develops proprietary technology eco-friendly diesel engines for automotive and other applications. The company’s light diesel engines are in the range of 4-20hp and find wide applications in automotive, marine, industrial and other uses.
