Datsun targets sales in 650 cities and villages in India
In a 90-day campaign, the Datsun Experience Zone will travel to locations in 40 satellite cities, 82 districts and 250 tehsils within a 50-100km radius of Nissan/Datsun showrooms.
Datsun India has flagged off the second leg of its ‘Datsun Experience Zone’ experiential activity, which will cover 650 locations throughout India over the next three months. The first phase was completed in April 2017.
The programme offers prospective customers an opportunity to take test drives of the flagship Redigo hatchback, along with the Go and Go+ MPV in addition to engaging with the onboard entertainment and games that come with the canter vans.
With the second leg of the Experience Zone, Datsun aims to connect with customers at the grassroots level across a wider swathe of India's regional cities and villages. The eight vans will travel to locations in 40 satellite cities, 82 districts and 250 tehsils within a 50-100km radius of Nissan/Datsun showrooms. The Experience Zone II tour, which began on June 12, will go on for 90 days.

"The Datsun Experience Zone enables us to engage with customers at a nearby place which is convenient for them," said Jerome Saigot, vice-president, Datsun India. "We are taking our showrooms on the road. The Experience Zone is a platform for us to connect with prospective customers and talk about the best in-class features of the Redigo. Phase I of the Datsun Experience Zone was a great success, and we decided to extend this activity to Phase II to tap the significant market potential."
The Datsun brand, which was launched in India on March 19, 2014, has till end-May 2017 sold a total of 87,887 units.
