Anand Mahindra among Top 30 Global CEOs on Barron's 2016 List
Anand Mahindra is one of four international leaders to join the list this year.
Among the many honours bestowed upon Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group, the latest is his induction to the Barron’s 2016 list of the Top 30 CEOs in the world.
Mahindra is one of four international leaders to join the list this year. He is recognized for transforming the Mahindra Group into a global federation of companies that maintains a level of transparency, governance, and shareholder focus, rare in emerging markets, according to Barron’s.
Commenting on the recognition, Anand Mahindra said, “I am honoured at this recognition by Barron’s which is an affirmation of the Mahindra Group’s increasingly global character, our high standards of corporate governance, and focus on delivering consistent shareholder returns.”
Mahindra joins 29 global leaders, including Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Walt Disney’s Robert Iger, Alphabet’s Larry Page, and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffet on the annual list.
Key criteria for consideration include financial soundness, employee motivation, innovative products, and maintaining consistent profit growth and shareholder gains.
Anand Mahindra was also conferred with Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour), France’s highest honour, on March 5, 2016.
