Bosal of Brazil has announced that it has won its sixth consecutive annual supplier award from Honda Cars of Brazil. The 2012 Award was for Bosal’s performance relating to quality, costs, delivery and development. The award was given to just 14 out of Honda’s 140 suppliers.
In the past six years, Bosal of Brazil has been recognised by Honda seven times; the 2012 award brought all four categories into one major award. Vilson Codato, BDB managing director, said: “We are all delighted to have received this award. It is a very important recognition of the partnership between our companies, which began 15 years ago when Honda started car production in Brazil. It’s the result of the commitment and skills of our team in Brazil.”
The company won a second award during the Toyota Suppliers Conference 2013, where Bosal do Brasil was rewarded in two categories: Achievement on Quality Targets and Excellence in Cost Reduction. While the quality award was given to 14 companies amongst 130 suppliers, the excellence in cost reduction award was given to just two companies amongst 130 suppliers.
